Willkommen, Bienvenue, Welcome.
I began this blog out of my love of writing and my love of a running commentary. I am a public librarian by day and an animal activist, dessert enthusiast, and movie buff by night.
I am a lifelong vegetarian who has recently made the gradual transition over to veganism. As Kathy Freston says, “progress, not perfection.” Animal activism is a very big part of my life, and I hope that I can raise awareness through this blog.
I am in the process of learning about nutrition, health, and exercise and want to share that information with all of you. I love to empower women to feel good about themselves and be comfortable in their own skin. It’s taken me a long time to get there, but now that I am, I want everyone to feel as good as I do.
I simply love entertainment. I was raised by parents who exposed me to great films while I was growing up — from Some Like it Hot to The Wizard of Oz, from Manhattan Murder Mystery to Gone with the Wind. As a teenager, I developed a crush on Leonardo DiCaprio that still hasn’t really gone away, despite treatment. I love anything having to do with the Titanic (and before you ask — yes, I became interested in that before the movie.) I have a very sarcastic way of speaking — you will find that I love to celebrate certain celebrities and mock others.
As a writer, I love poetry, so I post a different poem every Friday as a “poem of the week.”
I hope you enjoy reading, and I look forward to your comments. I have a lot of stories to tell, and I hope to share them with you. Stop by my barn on the way out and say hi to the critters!
Thanks for reading!
I’m loving your blog.
Wonderful taste in poetry. Peace, John
Great blog! I love your poetry posts. Looking forward to reading more 🙂
You and I are eerily similar. I came across your blog after googling “spin shoes keep coming out of clips”. Haha, so funny and exactly what I am going through! I’m also a fearless size 11 (in spin shoe) vegetarian. I would love to go vegan, but I cannot part with my friend, the cow. Looking forward to following your blog!
